<reviewbody>Extraordinarily pleasurable and varied guitar-focused ambient having electronic, jazz, and house textures. "a death with no consequence" features lightly strummed chords against a background of warm vinyl crackle and a subtle drone. "mallory" is a sad piece containing controlled feedback and a beautifully simple evolving four note guitar pattern. "as the sun sets on us all" drones on with a monotone chord, barely audible background voices, and a repeated bass line. "the end of the story lies in" is a composition layered with flowing guitar patterns and gently played melodies along with more vinyl ambience. The intro to "the trees they do grow high" gives this piece a minimal house or dub feel. "far leys house" is the darkest of the eight tracks with odd electronic sounds, dissonant tones, and strange, subtle sounds from the guitar. "a shaft of light enters the room" is my favorite with its reverberating guitar floating above a pulsing background beat. Five plus stars.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I've been listening to Edwin Morris' music ever since he was the Welsh king Llewellyn Ap Gruffydd, always waiting for something slightly more tangible than these silly little empeethree files that I've heard may catch on sometime. At least now I can make my own tangible object.
I was once flying in a tiny 30-seater plane from New York to Montreal, and listening to my mini-disc of Mr Morris' things whilst looking down upon the clouds and the sun was truly perfect; I was aware of nothing else. Tis a thing of great beauty.</reviewbody>

<review><reviewbody>...Morris' music is the stuff to put your mood back into perspective. As mentioned in the lead descriptions, Angelo Badalamentis is a definite reference point, but I'd also add a strong Michael Brooks lean too. Another great release from one of the best net labels out here...</reviewbody>
